Il padre francescano che spiegava la diretta su Telepace ha spiegato il motivo dello zucchetto....(o la papalina bianca, quella che vedete nella foto) in sostanza fu Pio XII a dare il via all'usanza dello scambio dello zucchetto fra il Papa e i visitatori illustri, oppure quando il Papa faceva una visita, lasciava il suo e in cambio prendeva quello degli ospitanti... poi il simpatico gesto si è esteso ai fedeli che numerosi lo andavano a visitare, e Pio XII faceva volentieri questo scambio....
Benedetto XVI ha così tolto il suo e preso quest'altro, lasciando il suo appunto, come dono che diventerà naturalmente un oggetto caro ai maltesi o di chi è riuscito, in molte udienze, come tante foto dimostrano, in questo scambio...
