Il Papa: "Venezia ha una lunga storia e un ricco patrimonio umano, spirituale e artistico per essere capace anche oggi di offrire un prezioso contributo nell’aiutare gli uomini a credere in un futuro migliore e ad impegnarsi a costruirlo" (Discorso del Santo Padre in occasione dell'incontro con il mondo della cultura e dell'economia nella Basilica della Salute, Venezia, 8 maggio 2011)

Il Papa: Amata Chiesa che sei in Venezia! Imita l’esempio di Zaccheo e vai oltre! Supera e aiuta l’uomo di oggi a superare gli ostacoli dell’individualismo, del relativismo; non lasciarti mai trarre verso il basso dalle mancanze che possono segnare le comunità cristiane. Il Papa: In questi giorni del Tempo pasquale, lasciamoci conquistare dal Cristo risorto. In Lui ha inizio il mondo nuovo di amore e di pace che costituisce la profonda aspirazione di ogni cuore umano.
